The Midlife Woman's Toolkit is operated by The Rejuvenation Project (ABN 53 807 306 883), trading as The Rejuvenation Project ("we", "us", "our").
We are bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). Because we hold health information in connection with a health-related service, the small business exemption does not apply to us — we treat ourselves as fully covered by the Act.
This policy explains how we handle personal information — including health information, which the Privacy Act treats as "sensitive information" and protects more strictly than ordinary personal information.
It applies to the Midlife Woman's Toolkit web app, this website, and any emails or support conversations you have with us.
| What | Why we need it |
|---|---|
| Your name and email address | To create your account and let you sign back in |
| Daily symptom logs | To build your record over time and show you patterns |
| Sleep logs and check-ins | Same — this is the core of the app |
| MenoD Assessment answers | To generate your personalised summary |
| Anything you post in Connect | To let you take part in the member community |
| Support messages you send us | To answer you |
Everything in your symptom, sleep, check-in and assessment records is health information. We only collect it because you choose to enter it, and only to provide the service described in this policy.
Basic technical information such as your device type, browser and general location (city or region level), used to keep the app working and secure. We do not use advertising trackers or third-party marketing pixels.
If you buy Founding Partner access or an add-on, payment is processed by PayPal. Your card and bank details go directly to PayPal — we never see or store them. We receive only confirmation of payment, your name, your email, and the amount.
By creating an account and entering health information, you consent to us collecting and handling it as described here. That consent is yours to withdraw at any time — see section 8.
You can use the app without entering any health information at all, though most of it won't be useful if you don't.
We use your information to:
We do not use your health information to make decisions about you, to target advertising, or to train commercial AI models.
We share personal information only with the service providers that make the app work, and only as far as they need it:
| Provider | What for | Where data is held |
|---|---|---|
| Glide | Runs the app and stores your account and logs | United States |
| Underlying data storage | United States | |
| PayPal | Processes payments | Australia, United States |
Overseas disclosure. As the table shows, some of these providers store data outside Australia, mainly in the United States. By using the app you agree to this. We take reasonable steps to use reputable providers with appropriate security, but overseas providers are subject to the laws of their own country and we cannot control that.
We may also disclose information where the law requires or authorises it, or where we reasonably believe it is necessary to prevent a serious threat to someone's life, health or safety.
You can:
There's no charge for any of this. If we ever refuse a request, we'll tell you why in writing.
A note on deletion: once your logs are deleted they're gone and can't be recovered, so consider requesting a copy first. Some records — such as proof of a payment — may be kept where the law requires it.
We keep your account and logs for as long as your account is open, because the value of the app comes from a record that builds over time. If you close your account, we delete your personal and health information within 30 days, apart from anything we're legally required to retain.
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including encrypted connections, access controls on our systems, and limiting who can see member data to those who need to.
No online service can promise perfect security. If a data breach occurs that is likely to cause you serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required by the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
The Midlife Woman's Toolkit gives you general information and tools to record and understand your own symptoms. It does not diagnose, treat or provide medical advice, and it is not a substitute for care from a qualified health professional. The MenoD Assessment is a self-reflection tool, not a clinical diagnosis.
Always speak to your doctor about your symptoms and before making decisions about treatment. If you are seriously unwell, contact your doctor or call 000.
The app is intended for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If we learn we have, we'll delete it.
If we change this policy we'll update the effective date above, and tell members by email if the change is significant. The current version always lives at this page.
